Who can post a job?

Does it cost anything to post a job or browse consultants?

No. Posting, browsing, matching, and proposal comparison are free. A platform fee is charged only when you fund a milestone; the current rate and a calculator are on the pricing page.

How long does it take to get proposals?

Most briefs receive their first qualified proposal within 48 hours and a comparable shortlist within five business days.

How does matching work?

A deterministic scoring model compares your brief against each consultant's expertise, industries, titles held, and past outcomes. Every match shows its reasons so you can judge it yourself, and you can search the full directory at any time.

Can I compare proposals side by side?

Yes. Select up to four proposals to see approach, milestones, timeline, total cost, and verification status in one table.

Can I interview consultants before deciding?

Yes. You can message any consultant who has proposed and schedule a meeting from inside the thread. Everyone invited gets an email with a calendar file and a reminder before it starts. R-Owl creates the meeting room and everyone joins from the meeting card, or you can use your own Zoom, Teams or Meet link instead. Nothing is binding until a contract is signed and a milestone is funded.

Can consultants sign our NDA before seeing details?

Attach an NDA to the brief and consultants must sign it electronically before the confidential section becomes visible.

Can we hire a consultant as an employee afterwards?

Yes. Converting to direct employment after a completed engagement carries no conversion fee.

Who is eligible to join?

Accepted Answer

Leaders with at least eight years of healthcare experience including a director-level or higher operating, clinical, or financial role. Independent consultants and boutique firms are both welcome.

What does verification involve?

Identity and liveness, corroboration of leadership roles from the last ten years, certification checks with issuing bodies, and OIG, SAM, and state exclusion screening. It typically completes in five to seven business days.

What does it cost to be on R-Owl?

Nothing up front. A service fee is deducted from each payout — the current rate is on the pricing page — and verification is included.

When do I get paid?

An approved milestone is released within three business days, and the amount then shows in your available balance — because milestones are funded before you start, the money is already in escrow. Requesting a payout transfers it to your payout account, and our payment provider pays it out to your bank from there.

Do I have to work exclusively through R-Owl?

No. You may work with any client you find elsewhere. Engagements that start on R-Owl must stay on R-Owl for the duration of the contract.

How does escrow work?

The client funds each milestone up front. R-Owl holds the funds in a segregated account until the client approves the deliverable. Funds will be released upon completion, or according to a dispute decision.

What are the fees?

Organizations pay a platform fee on top of the engagement value at funding; consultants pay a service fee deducted at payout. Both current rates, and a calculator, are on the pricing page. There are no subscriptions.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Organizations fund milestones by card. Consultants are paid by bank transfer: you set up a payout account with our payment provider once, and released milestones are transferred to it.

Can a funded milestone be refunded?

Yes, in full, if it is cancelled before the consultant submits the deliverable. Partial deliveries are handled through the dispute process.

Do we get invoices for procurement?

Every funded milestone produces an invoice and a receipt. Enterprise accounts can add PO numbers and receive consolidated monthly statements.

What does the verification mark mean?

A named R-Owl reviewer completed identity, employment, certification, and sanctions checks on a specific date. Checks are re-run every 90 days and the mark is removed if any check fails.

How are disputes resolved?

Either party can open a dispute on a milestone. A reviewer examines the contract, acceptance criteria, deliverables, and thread, and issues a decision within ten business days. Funds stay in escrow until then.

What is the off-platform policy?

Moving an active engagement off R-Owl to avoid fees is a breach of the terms for both parties and results in account suspension. Reporting an off-platform request is free and confidential.

How is our data protected?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-scoped and logged, and BAAs are available for engagements involving protected health information.
